French-Speaking Skilled Workers Stream

Summary:

The Ontario Express Entry Stream for French-Speaking Skilled Workers is designed for French-speaking individuals with strong English language skills who wish to settle in Ontario. To be eligible, candidates must qualify for the federal Express Entry pool under either the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) or the Canadian Experience Class (CEC). However, candidates cannot apply directly to this stream but must first receive a Notification of Interest (NOI) from the OINP based on their Express Entry profile. Once selected, candidates have 45 days to apply for nomination, and if approved, they can use it to apply for permanent residence with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). The main eligibility requirement is the ability to speak French at CLB 7, and the stream often targets tech and healthcare-related occupations with CRS scores ranging from 312 and upwards in 2023, making it an attractive option for French-speaking skilled workers.
