Skilled Worker Stream
Summary:
The New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream offers a pathway to permanent residence for foreign nationals who have the skills and experience needed by New Brunswick employers. This stream is intended for individuals currently working in the province or those with a valid full-time, non-seasonal job offer from a New Brunswick employer.
Applicants must be supported by a designated employer and meet eligibility criteria under one of the stream’s three distinct pathways.
Pathways & Invitation Criteria
The Skilled Worker Stream now includes three separate pathways. You may be eligible for an Invitation to Apply (ITA) if you meet the requirements of one of the following:
1. New Brunswick Experience Pathway
You are employed full time in a non-seasonal role with an eligible New Brunswick employer.
You have worked for this employer for at least 6 consecutive months.
You have lived in New Brunswick for at least 6 months before submitting your Expression of Interest (EOI).
2. New Brunswick Graduates Pathway
You have graduated from a New Brunswick DLI in a program eligible for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP).
You are either working in a full-time, non-seasonal role with an eligible employer or have a job offer for such a position.
3. New Brunswick Priority Occupations Pathway
(Currently not accepting new EOIs)
You have received a full-time, non-seasonal job offer from a New Brunswick employer as a direct result of a GNB-led international or domestic recruitment mission.
Your job falls under a priority NOC code specified by the province.
You have at least 1 year of related paid work experience.
Important: Meeting the criteria does not guarantee an invitation. Invitations are issued through scheduled draws only.
