Skilled Worker Stream

Immigration New Brunswick is not currently accepting EOIs under the Priority Occupations pathway.
EOIs with a job or job offer in certain NOC codes are also not being considered (see ineligible occupations list below)
The New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream provides a pathway to permanent residency for foreign nationals with the skills and experience needed in the province. This program helps employers fill long-term labour shortages when no qualified Canadian citizens or permanent residents are available.
In 2025, the stream was updated and is now divided into three distinct pathways:
New Brunswick Experience
New Brunswick Graduates
New Brunswick Priority Occupations
Pathways
1. New Brunswick Experience
Currently working full-time in a non-seasonal job with an eligible NB employer.
At least 6 months of work experience with the same employer.
Have lived in New Brunswick for at least 6 months before submitting your EOI.
2. New Brunswick Graduates
Completed a program of study at a Designated Learning Institution (DLI) in New Brunswick that qualifies for a PGWP.
Working full-time in a non-seasonal position, or have accepted a valid job offer from an eligible NB employer willing to support your application.
3. New Brunswick Priority Occupations (currently paused)
A full-time, non-seasonal job offer resulting from a government-led recruitment mission.
Position must be in a priority NOC code identified by NB.
At least 1 year of related paid work experience.
Ineligible Occupations (EOIs not accepted)
Immigration NB is not considering EOIs for the following NOC codes:
12200 – Accounting technicians and bookkeepers
13110 – Administrative assistants
14400 – Shippers and receivers
60020 – Retail and wholesale trade managers
60030 – Restaurant and food service managers
62010 – Retail sales supervisors
62020 – Food service supervisors
63200 – Cooks
63202 – Bakers
64100 – Retail salespersons and visual merchandisers
64301 – Bartenders
64314 – Hotel front desk clerks
64409 – Other customer service representatives
65200 – Food and beverage servers
65201 – Food counter attendants, kitchen helpers, and related support roles
94142 – Fish and seafood plant workers
95106 – Labourers in food and beverage processing
95107 – Labourers in fish and seafood processing
Expression of Interest (EOI) System
EOIs are submitted through the INB Portal.
EOIs remain valid for 365 days in the pool.
Invitations to Apply (ITAs) are issued by Immigration NB during scheduled draws.
EOIs are not processed on a first-come, first-served basis.

After Nomination
If nominated, you can apply to IRCC for permanent residency under the Provincial Nominee Program (non-Express Entry).
You must apply before your nomination certificate expires.
