Saskatchewan Express Entry

Summary:

If you’re a skilled worker already in Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada’s (IRCC) Express Entry pool, you may be eligible for permanent residence in Saskatchewan through the SINP’s Express Entry sub-category.

Who Can Apply?

This stream is for candidates who:

  • Want to live and work permanently in Saskatchewan.

  • Are already in the IRCC Express Entry pool.

  • Meet SINP eligibility criteria.


Program Eligibility

To qualify, you must:

✅ Be in the Express Entry pool with a valid Profile Number and Job Seeker Code.
✅ Score at least 60 points on the SINP points grid.
✅ Pay a non-refundable application fee of $500 CAD.
✅ Provide proof of language proficiency that meets federal Express Entry standards.
✅ Have completed at least one year of post-secondary education or training related to your occupation.
✅ Have a valid Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) for all foreign education.
✅ Show work experience in a TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 occupation that is not on the SINP Excluded Occupations list.
✅ Provide proof of professional licensure (if required by your occupation).
✅ Demonstrate sufficient settlement funds and submit a settlement plan.

Minimum Work Experience Requirements:

  • Skilled professionals: 1 year in the past 10 years.

  • Skilled tradespeople: 2 years in the past 5 years.

  • Canadian work experience (CEC): 1 year in the past 3 years.

Required Documents

Your application must include:

1.  Identity & Civil Status Documents

  • Birth certificates (you, spouse, dependents)

  • Marriage certificate / proof of common-law union

  • Divorce or separation documents (if applicable)

  • Adoption or custody documents

2. Express Entry & Language Credentials

  • Express Entry Profile Number + Job Seeker Code

  • Language test results (IELTS, CELPIP, TEF, PTE Core, etc.)—valid for 2 years

3. Education & Training

  • Degrees, diplomas, certificates + official transcripts

  • ECA for international education

  • Professional licenses (if applicable)

4. Work Experience

  • Employer reference letters detailing job title, duties, hours, and dates

  • At least one additional official document per job (e.g. tax forms, permits, pension statements)

  • Proof of self-employment (if applicable)

5. Settlement Funds & Plan

  • Bank statements, mutual funds, GICs, etc.

  • Proof of funds held for a minimum of 3 months before applying

  • IRCC-compliant settlement plan

6.  Other Supporting Documents

  • Passport copies for all family members

  • Close relative in Saskatchewan (if claiming points): proof of relationship and residency

  • Previous work/study experience in Saskatchewan (if claiming points)


Application Process

  1. Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to the SINP.

  2. Wait for an Invitation to Apply (ITA) based on your EOI score.

  3. Once invited, submit your complete application online:

    • Create an account on the SINP portal.

    • Upload all forms and documents in PDF format.

    • Pay the $500 CAD application fee.

Applications with missing, incomplete, or untranslated documents will be closed without refund.


Important Notes

  • You must maintain valid Express Entry credentials throughout the SINP process.

  • False claims or misrepresentation will result in a 2+ year suspension from applying.

  • The SINP is a provincial nomination program. Final decision on PR is made by IRCC.


Ineligible Applicants

You cannot apply under this stream if you:

  • Are a refugee claimant in Canada.

  • Are not in the Express Entry pool.

  • Fail to submit required documents or prove intent to live in Saskatchewan.

  • Misrepresent any part of your application or qualifications.
