Private Career College Graduate Pilot
Summary:
The New Brunswick Private Career College Graduate Pilot Program offers a dedicated immigration pathway for international students graduating from select one-year or two-year programs at eligible private career colleges in New Brunswick. These programs must lead to in-demand careers in the following sectors:
Education and Social Development
Health
Information Technology and Cybersecurity
Business Administration
Supply Chain and Logistics
This pilot is designed for graduates not eligible for the federal Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP). Successful applicants must intend to live and work in New Brunswick permanently and demonstrate the skills, education, and work experience to contribute to the province’s economy.
Who Can Apply
To be eligible for this pilot, applicants must:
Graduate from an eligible private career college in New Brunswick (see [Guide] for approved institutions and programs).
Receive a genuine full-time (non-seasonal) job offer from a New Brunswick employer in a priority occupation related to your field of study.
Secure employment within 90 days of graduation.
Be Permanent Residence (PR) Ready, which means:
Meeting all eligibility and selection criteria
Having all documents prepared to submit complete and accurate applications to both New Brunswick and IRCC.
Application Process
Follow the Private Career College Graduate Pilot Road Map:
Accept a full-time job offer in New Brunswick.
Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) through the provincial immigration portal.
Wait for an Invitation to Apply (ITA) from the Province.
Apply to the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) with all required documents.
If successful, receive:
A provincial nomination, and
A work permit support letter.
Apply for a T13 work permit with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
Submit your permanent residence (PR) application to IRCC.
Maintain your employment and nomination status throughout the process.
Receive a final PR decision from IRCC.

After You’re Nominated
Once you’ve received your provincial nomination and work permit support letter, it’s important to:
Apply for your T13 work permit as soon as possible
Submit a complete PR application to IRCC
Maintain your full-time job and update NBPNP about any changes
Program Closure and Alternatives
The pilot program will end in autumn 2025. No new nominations will be issued after this date.
If you will graduate after the program closes or do not meet eligibility requirements, you may still be able to apply through other streams:

Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) – available to graduates with qualifying work experience and a job offer from an AIP-designated employer.
