Nova Scotia Healthcare Professionals Immigration Pilot
Summary:
Nova Scotia is taking important steps to strengthen its healthcare workforce through the Healthcare Professionals Immigration Pilot. On June 11, 2024, the province issued Letters of Interest (LOIs) to candidates in the Express Entry system under NOC 31209 (podiatrists), a targeted effort to recruit healthcare talent.
What is the Healthcare Professionals Immigration Pilot?
This pilot is a specialized initiative designed to streamline immigration for healthcare workers, ensuring Nova Scotia can meet its rising demand for medical professionals. Unlike Labour Market Priorities draws, this pilot specifically focuses on attracting qualified podiatrists.
On June 11, 2024, all candidates with NOC 31209 in their Express Entry profile received an LOI. However, only those with verifiable podiatry work experience are eligible to move forward.
