International Skilled Worker

Summary:

The International Skilled Worker stream of the SINP is designed for foreign nationals with the skills, experience, and education needed in Saskatchewan. This stream has three main subcategories:

  1. Express Entry

  2. Occupations In-Demand

  3. Employment Offer

Each subcategory has distinct eligibility criteria but shares the goal of attracting workers who can contribute to Saskatchewan’s economy and integrate successfully into the province.

1. International Skilled Worker: Express Entry

This subcategory is for skilled workers who:

  • Have a valid Express Entry profile with IRCC

  • Meet the SINP eligibility criteria

  • Possess experience in a high-demand occupation not listed on the excluded occupations list

This stream is ideal for candidates who already meet federal eligibility for immigration and want to increase their chances by obtaining a provincial nomination.

2. International Skilled Worker: Occupations In-Demand

This subcategory is for candidates who:

  • Do not require an Express Entry profile

  • Have at least 1 year of full-time work experience in an eligible occupation (NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3)

  • Meet the minimum language requirement of CLB 4

  • Do not need a job offer in Saskatchewan

It’s designed for skilled workers whose occupations are in demand in the province, even if they haven’t applied through Express Entry.

3. International Skilled Worker: Employment Offer

This subcategory is for foreign nationals who:

  • Have a valid job offer from a Saskatchewan employer

  • Possess at least 1 year of related work experience

  • Meet a minimum CLB 4 in English or French

  • Do not need an Express Entry profile

Applicants must demonstrate that they are qualified for the position and that the offer is in a high-skilled TEER category.
