Express Entry Stream

Summary:

The New Brunswick Express Entry Stream is designed for highly skilled foreign nationals who are already in the federal Express Entry pool and want to live and work permanently in New Brunswick. If selected by Immigration New Brunswick (INB), candidates will receive a provincial nomination, which adds 600 points to their CRS score, significantly improving their chances of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

This stream now operates through two distinct pathways:

  • Employment in New Brunswick

  • New Brunswick Interests

Qualifying New Brunswick graduates who are employed in the province may still apply under the Employment in New Brunswick pathway or explore options under the Skilled Worker Stream.

Pathways to Apply

1. Employment in New Brunswick

To be considered under this pathway, you must:

  • Be working full time in a non-seasonal position for a New Brunswick employer in TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3

  • Have completed at least 12 months of full-time work experience in New Brunswick in a TEER 0–3 occupation (with one or more employers)

  • Be living in New Brunswick for the past 12 months

2. New Brunswick Interests

To be considered under this pathway, you must:

  • Have received a Letter of Interest from Immigration New Brunswick in your federal Express Entry profile

Meeting these criteria does not guarantee an invitation to apply. Invitations are issued at INB’s discretion based on scheduled draws and labour market needs.
