Agriculture Talent Pathway
Summary:
The Agriculture Talent Pathway is part of the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program and is designed to help Saskatchewan employers recruit foreign workers for key agricultural and food processing occupations.
This pathway allows skilled and semi-skilled workers with a job offer from an approved Saskatchewan employer to apply for provincial nomination for permanent residence.
To qualify, applicants must have a full-time permanent job offer in an eligible agricultural occupation, meet minimum language and education requirements, and demonstrate their intention to live and work in Saskatchewan. If nominated by the province, candidates can apply to the federal government for permanent residence.
Saskatchewan’s agriculture and food production industries rely on international workers to support farm operations, livestock production, food processing, and agricultural supply chains.
The Agriculture Talent Pathway is specifically designed for workers who:
Have a full-time permanent job offer from a Saskatchewan employer
Receive a Job Approval Letter issued through the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program
Meet the minimum eligibility requirements for language, education, and work experience
Intend to live and work permanently in Saskatchewan
This pathway is open to applicants living outside Canada or those already in Canada with valid legal status. Refugee claimants in Canada are not eligible.
The number of nominations available each year is limited and determined by the federal government, so meeting the requirements does not guarantee a provincial nomination.
