Nova Scotia: Express Entry
Summary:
The Nova Scotia Express Entry Stream is part of the Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP) and is designed to select skilled workers who want to live and work permanently in Nova Scotia. Through this pathway, the province nominates candidates from the federal Express Entry system who meet provincial labour market needs.
If you are nominated by Nova Scotia, you receive additional points in the federal Express Entry system and can apply for Canadian permanent residence through Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.
This stream targets three types of candidates:
Skilled workers who already have work experience in Nova Scotia
Physicians with approved job opportunities in the province
Express Entry candidates who receive a Letter of Interest from Nova Scotia based on labour market priorities
Applicants must first create a profile in the federal Express Entry system and then submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to Nova Scotia if they meet the eligibility requirements.
The Nova Scotia Express Entry Stream allows the province to select candidates from the federal Express Entry pool who have skills needed in the provincial labour market.
The stream includes three main eligibility pathways:
1. Skilled Work Experience in Nova Scotia
For applicants who already have at least one year of skilled work experience in Nova Scotia.
